Our Commitment
We ensure that all our teachers have been vetted against the highest standards of Safer Recruitment in Education Policy and receive appropriate guidance and support to undertake the effective safeguarding of children.
Safer Recruitment Standard
We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support children, families and Sophia teachers.
The safety and wellbeing of all children and young people is of paramount importance. Parents should expect when working with a reputable Online Education Provider, that they provide a safe and secure learning environment in which their children can flourish. We, therefore, have to ensure that this expectation becomes reality.
In order to achieve this all members of staff at Sophia High, in whatever capacity, will at all times act proactively in child welfare matters. Where there is a possibility that a child may be at risk of harm we will act immediately.
For UK based students, Sophia High School will notify the Local Authority in which the student resides that they are a full time online student at the school and follow all protocols from KSIE (Keeping Children Safe in Education).
