Sophia High School Curriculum Maps

Sophia High School provides an enriched online global education through the National Curriculum for England, utilising our partnership with Fieldwork Education to deliver the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC).
We follow the challenging, thematic, concept-focused IPC and IMYC Curriculums at primary school and secondary school levels. This provides a clear process of learning which helps to develop creative, engaged and active learners. The breadth in curriculum coverage ensures that wider subject objectives from science, geography, history, art, design, technology, music, sustainable and international mindedness are met.

We are delighted to share our proposed curriculum plans for the IPC and IMYC for the 2020 – 2021 academic year.
IPC & IMYC - Summer Term Overview

The International Primary Curriculum is for children aged 5 to 11. It is a comprehensive thematic, creative curriculum, with a clear process of learning and specific learning goals for every subject, which develops international mindedness and encourages personal learning.
The International Middle Years Curriculum is for children aged 11 to 14 years old. It is a challenging, internationally minded and concept-focused curriculum, which helps develop engaged and active learners. With specific subject and personal learning goals, it provides a clear structure to develop knowledge, skills and understanding whilst making subject learning more connected.
