If you are a parent impacted by the disruption that school closures have caused, Sophia High School is here to support you. We've shared a number of free homeschool resources and links to websites that we recommend which can support establishing an effective homeschooling routine at home.

Recommended Online Learning Resources For Homeschooling

White Rose Math is a fantastic Maths resource for teachers and parents alike offering both free homeschooling resources and reasonable paid subscription options from Reception to Year 11.  White Rose Maths continues to happily carry on helping you support your child to enjoy and master maths both in school and at home as they continue to produce daily ‘home learning’ lessons for Years 1-9. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child complete the activity successfully.

BBC Bitesize have now launched online lessons, offering three new lessons each weekday, including videos and activities From Early Years, through to to A Level. 

They also have a free online learning schedule to help you plan your child’s homeschooling for the week.

Oxford Owl is an award-winning website from Oxford University Press, created to support children’s learning both at home and at school.  The site  is packed full of expert tips and activities to help parents support their child’s education. You will find lots of free phonics reading activities, including Maths resources for children from Early Years through to Year 6.   Initially designed for schools, Oxford Owl has developed its homeschooling resources for parents
