The young leaders of today are the global citizens and leaders of tomorrow.
Developing Global Citizens: Celebrating the United Nations Global Goals at Sophia High School. The future is in our hands.
At Sophia High, we place huge importance on developing global citizenship and social responsibility, as our students connect with their peers from around the world and have the opportunity to learn from each other and about each other every day.
We are building a global community of learners within a safe, secure and happy online learning environment, where our students are inspired, challenged and supported in all they do. We aim to empower young minds to think creatively, develop independence, problem solve and to make connections with the world around them.
Our Four Dimensions of Learning has enabled us to pioneer a model of online education that provides our online school students with global citizenship and intercultural understanding for our sustainability and wellbeing (GCIU). Our ambitious online curriculum model provides a broad humanitarian scope for the delivery of our online focus on GCIU learning and ensures that our purpose, core values and directions and competencies we aspire for our students to develop, intersect. At Sophia High School, our groundbreaking Global Citizenship and Intercultural learning program provides knowledge, understanding skills valuable, nay essential for lifelong learning.
As progressive educators, with a clear mandate to reimagine a new future for education, one of the greatest gifts we can give the future generation is the knowledge and wisdom to understand the mistakes we have made in the past and teach them the skills required to innovate and imagine new possibilities.
We need our children to grow from the learners of today to the leaders of tomorrow. This is our mandate at Sophia High School; to develop Global Citizens. Read more about our approach to Global Citizenship
At Sophia High School, we are proud to be a supporter of the United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Sustainable Development, placing this mandate at the heart of our curriculum and acknowledging our role in shaping a new future by teaching sustainability in school.
By encouraging student involvement at our Online High School, we are equipping our learning community of Global Citizens with the tools and the knowledge they will need to create a better and more sustainable tomorrow.
