Fieldwork Education, our curriculum provider, enables students at Sophia High School to study the UK Curriculum Online and to develop a global mindset. This term, through our focus on the IPC theme Vanishing Rainforests, our primary online school year 1 to year 6 students have been focusing on the SDG 15: Life on Land.
Did you know? According to the Rainforest Alliance, tropical rainforests cover less than 3% of Earth’s area, yet they are home to more than half our planet’s terrestrial animal species.
One of our brilliant Year 1 students this term shared his wonderful message about the importance of doing all we can to save the rainforest, showing his maturity in understanding how to learn effectively online. This passionate speech is a living example of how we encourage our students to unmute and embrace their Voices for Change.
Using this international lens, our British curriculum online develops our students as global citizens with children joining us from all across the globe; including the U.K., Middle East, Zambia, Uganda, Bolivia, and Mexico but to name a few.
