Ben Hazell brings teaching experience across both primary and secondary education. His career includes two years at Wellington College in China, where he taught humanities to students from KS3 to KS5. During his time at Wellington, Ben thoroughly enjoyed working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering a global perspective in his teaching. He had the privilege of teaching students who went on to study at some of the world’s top universities, further enriching his experience and understanding of academic excellence on an international scale.
Following his time in China, Ben continued teaching at a high achieving secondary school in Bath, where he further refined his pedagogical expertise with a focus on metacognitive strategies and disciplinary literacy. Ben has taught a variety of curricula and qualifications and is particularly skilled in integrating educational technology into classroom practices, an area he has developed extensively whilst teaching.
Ben is passionate about project-based and enquiry-driven learning, which is reflected in the creative schemes of work he has developed for humanities subjects. His commitment to fostering engaging, inclusive learning environments ensures his students are both challenged and supported in achieving their full potential.
