I live in Cornwall with my husband, our two teenage sons, and our Jack Russell, Poppi. When I’m not working, I love spending time by the sea, whether walking the coast path, swimming, boating or trying to surf the smallest of waves!
I’ve been teaching since 2002, after completing my PGCE at the University of Warwick. Although I initially specialised in ICT, it didn’t take long for me to discover my passion for Psychology. Since then, I’ve taught and led Psychology departments in both successful UK comprehensives and at a leading British international school in Bangkok.
In 2021, I moved into online education, where my role has grown from teaching A Level Psychology to leading pastoral care and student wellbeing. Most recently, I have been working on developing a framework for more holistic education and personal development in online schools.
I’m thrilled to be joining Sophia High as Deputy Head: Pastoral, Behaviour and Wellbeing. I look forward to getting to know our incredible students and families and building on the fantastic work already happening at Sophia High to ensure every young person feels supported, valued, and has a true sense of belonging within our school community.
