BTEC Lead Teacher (Business)

Christine Williams

Christine is an experienced educator specialising in Geography and Business Studies, with extensive experience across secondary and post-16 education. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Management, two PGCE qualifications (Post-Compulsory Education and Secondary Geography with QTS), and a Masters degree in Education (Geography) from University College London. She teaches confidently across Key Stage 3, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level Geography and Business Studies and BTEC Business, and examines BTEC Business for Pearson Edexcel.

Christine has supported learners with strengths in exam preparation, curriculum planning, assessment design, coursework and NEA guidance, and targeted intervention, working across mainstream schools, sixth-form and further education colleges, and online learning environments with diverse and mixed-ability cohorts.

Her teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that all students can excel when provided with the right environment and support. She creates inclusive, engaging learning experiences that promote curiosity, confidence, and active participation. Her practice emphasises clear structure, high expectations, research-informed and problem-solving approaches, and the use and creation of high-quality digital resources aligned to specifications and real-world contexts, enabling learners to develop resilience, independence, and skills for success beyond the classroom.
