At Sophia High, we are leading the charge in bringing rigorous accreditation frameworks to online learning. As a recognised leader, we aim to set the bar for excellence, accountability, and confidence for remote instruction.
We are delighted to share that we were visited by His Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI) on 20th and 21st September 2023 to complete our Online Education Accreditation Scheme Evaluation and we were accredited by the Secretary of State for the UK Department for Education in November 2023.
Sophia High School has now also become the first Online School to join the Independent Schools Association as an Accredited Member.

Online Education Provider Accreditation Scheme
Sophia High has passed the strict eligibility criteria for online schools in England wishing to be part of the Online Education Provider Accreditation Scheme that was launched in March 2023. We now await our Evaluation visit by Ofsted who are the Quality Assurance provider for the scheme. Sophia High School was one of four online schools selected by the Department for Education to pilot the new Online Education Accreditation Scheme in 2021. Our upcoming inspection will evaluate programme delivery, resources, safeguarding, outcomes and more. Earning this new accreditation will further confirm our commitment to accessible, transformational remote learning for today's needs.

GL's progress tests and benchmarking provide robust, externally-validated data on student learning gains across critical subject areas. Parents gain visibility into actionable academic progress.
