Erin Robinson brings a diverse range of experiences to education, having first served for four years in the British Army. During her military career she trained at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, before serving with the Mounted Band of the Household Cavalry, among other duties. The teamwork, adaptability and resilience developed during this time continue to influence her approach to teaching today.
After beginning her teaching career as a teaching assistant while completing her degree, Erin has spent five years teaching across a variety of settings, including specialist SEND provision, prison education, online learning and private education in the Middle East. These experiences have allowed her to work with learners of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, developing a flexible and highly inclusive approach to teaching.
Erin believes that great teaching isn’t about expecting every learner to fit one approach; it’s about creating an environment where every learner can succeed. She is passionate about inclusive education, building confidence and using technology to make learning engaging, personal and accessible.
Erin holds a Master’s in Inclusive Education from Queen Margaret University, where she explored the educational experiences of pupils with ADHD. As someone who is dyslexic herself, she is passionate about creating learning environments where every student feels understood, supported and able to succeed.
Having both studied and taught online, Erin has experienced first-hand how meaningful relationships, engaging lessons and personalised support can help students thrive in a virtual classroom. She is excited to join Sophia High School and contribute to its innovative approach to online education.
Outside the classroom, Erin enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring nature, hiking and being around animals whenever she can.
