Mr Fernando is Head of Marketing at Sophia High School and teaches Marketing within Sophia365 for Elite Athletes. He brings a mix of agency, technology and entrepreneurial experience, helping young athletes build authentic personal brands, communicate with purpose, and understand how modern marketing really works.

He graduated in Advertising and Marketing from ESPM São Paulo and has further postgraduate study in Communication, Business, and Project Management (MBA). He has worked at Google in Lisbon and at Meta Reality Labs, bringing hands-on experience in performance marketing, audience insight, and product-led communication. He is also a startup founder, with a track record of building brands, systems, and campaigns from the ground up.

A former football goalkeeper and basketball player, he understands competitive mindsets and what it takes to perform under pressure.He also worked inside the Athletes’ Olympic Village during the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Outside school, his passions include travelling the world, spending time with his family, photography (including exhibitions), and writing and reading.
