Ms Sophie is an experienced and dedicated teacher who studied, trained and taught in London before teaching at an International British school in Athens. She has held several positions of responsibility, including English Lead and Children’s University Coordinator. Additionally, she has tutored online, helping children build their learning confidence and preparing some children for their 11+ exams.
In addition to her PGCE, Ms Sophie holds a BA in Philosophy and two Master’s degrees in English Language and Literature, specialising in Poetry. She is also passionate about supporting mental health in children and has completed several courses in this area. Throughout her career, she has led numerous mindfulness and yoga clubs, as well as various mental health school-based initiatives.
Ms Sophie strongly believes that all children are unique and possess their own learning styles. Her teaching approach focuses on building trusting relationships, discovering each child’s interests and engaging them in their unique learning journeys while supporting their individual needs. She is committed to creating a safe, fun, happy and stimulating learning environment where children’s confidence can bloom.
In her spare time, Ms Sophie enjoys travelling with her family and husband, particularly in Greece. She loves walking, exploring poetry, trying global cuisines, and learning historical facts—often finding that her students teach her fascinating information too!
