Secondary Physics Teacher

Stephen Kinge

After my first degree in Physics and Chemistry and a Ph.D. where I researched the photoelectric properties of buckminsterfullerene I had no doubt that I wanted to pursue a career in education.

I have had the privilege of teaching boys and girls of all abilities for thirty years in British independent schools and in Peru teaching Physics A-level and the International Baccalaureate. I have been Head of Department in three schools and most recently Deputy Head Academic. I am an examiner for Edexcel A-level and I was an IB examiner for ten years.

What drives me is my passion to make this most beautiful of subjects accessible to all and to ensure that all of my students achieve outstanding examination results. I truly believe that online education allows students to remain focused on their learning and that the use of technology and artificial intelligence allows for a bespoke educational experience.

Outside of the virtual classroom I climb munros in Scotland, play golf, walk my beloved border collie, cycle long distance challenges, run and experiment with a range of recipes in the kitchen.
